NOTABLE PROJECTS


  • Contributions and inputs to the Ekurhuleni Comprehensive Municipal Infrastructure Plan and Asset Management project. The inputs were in terms of developing the planning database, model development, infrastructure investment planning and spatial integration. (2010 and ongoing)

  • Doing a pilot study on the development of capital and financing strategies for Mangaung. Tshwane and Polokwane as part of a USAID sponsored project by the Urban Institute in Washington DC for SA national Treasury. (2002)

  • Updating the Tshwane Infrastructure Investment Planning that was established through above mentioned pilot project. (2006)

  • Developing national infrastructure investment planning guidelines for the national Department of Department of Provincial and Local Government. (2000)

  • Doing 8 Spatial Development Frameworks (SDFs) over the past two years for various local and district municipalities)

  • Municipal Infrastructure and Finance, Phase 1as part of the World Bank Economic and Sector work addressing national investment requirements in terms of the impact of backlogs, rehabilitation and growth; Capital cost recovery in terms of dealing with bulks services funding; the financial capacity of municipalities; assessment of municipal borrowing data; a skills and capacity audit in the municipal sector; determination of perceptions and views on capital funding; and an assessment of policy impacting on the financial capacity of municipalities. (2008)

  • Drafting of a national  infrastructure investment strategy released in August 2006 for CoGTA
